Swisher - Perry

Source: Crawfordsville Journal April 10, 1870

East Liberty -- Perry, son of G.W. Swisher, aged 18 years died Saturday evening, April 5, 1870, of consumption. The funearl took place Sunday at 3 o'clock p.m. at Youngs Chapel, Elder PJ Martin officiating. A large crowd was in attendance. The deceased had not been a membe rof the church till the last few days of his life. Seeing death approaching, and being unwilling to meet death unprepared, he called Elder Martin to his bedside and confessed his faith in the Redeemer. This should be an example to his young associates as well as the elder.
